It is our belief @ TLE Educational Network that one of the most fun and critical parts of education is the enjoyment of reading. In our modern day, there are many ways in which we can further horizons and knowledge, and many different ways we can enjoy a book.

Many of us still enjoy the paper bound book and certainly the austere and wondrous atmosphere at a great library is something not to be missed. Running fingers over pages filled with words written centuries ago or just yesterday, eyes drinking in sentence after sentence—this is something which helps increase our knowledge and wisdom.

In the electronic age, books have slowly but surely made the transition from paper to digital format. For sure, not all books, and for sure not all of us get the same enjoyment from books in digital format. However, this method of reading can no longer be discounted and has reached mainstream in the form of the term “E-Books”.

TLE Educational Network established TLE Educational Network Publishing House to further enhance reading pleasure. Within Second Life itself, we have over 150 books published in the Second Life format which places TLE Educational Network Publishing House as the most prolific publishing venture in Second Life.

We have book stores in many places in Second Life, but the two major ones are as follows: (Clicking on them will bring up as SLURL and if you are a member of Second Life you can teleport there.)

Almost 85% of these book are the result of the researchers we hire to research information for TLE Interactive World History Museum and TLE Interactive Animal, Zoo, Marine Biology Museum. The rest of these books were taken from a variety of old famous books on which the copyright no longer exists and therefore are in the Public Domain.

We offer these books in Second Life (in Second Life graphic/texture format) and on the Web (in PDF Format). In Second Life we charge 1 Linden for each book, though through our Donation Jars people usually donate more after purchasing the book.

Here on the Web we offer each book in PDF or a PDF in a Zip file, the choice is yours in which type of file format to download (or both). Again we do not charge and the download is available to you, but we do request via PayPal a donation of $3-$5 per book you download if you can afford it. (However, you can leave a donation of as much or as little as you please.)

All these donations go to the upkeep of TLE Educational Network and help us live our motto—”Where Knowledge & Education Are Always Free”. So if you find a book or books you wish to download in the following pages please consider leaving a small donation.
