TLE Educational Network Jobs

***All Jobs In Second Life @ TLE Educational Network are paid for in the currency of Second Life which is Lindens. (For a full understanding of Lindens and how they work click here.) Research jobs do not require to be in Second Life while working, however, you will still be paid in Lindens in Second Life. TLE pays once a week according to time-sheets emailed in by the employee.

With long experience in this area at TLE Educational Network we have discovered it is more difficult to find responsible teachers than filling up their classes. We are always actively seeking teachers in all subjects, from the classical all the way to Second Life building. We want to be able to offer classes and workshops in all subjects that a University offers. Here are some of the requirements and some of our policies.

You are responsible and you can teach on the same day at the same time every week.

You have total operational Voice capabilities, both in microphone and speakers (or a headset).

You have real background in the area you wish to teach.

The motto of TLE Educational Network is “Where Knowledge & Education Are Always Free” and therefore we do not ever charge students for courses. ALL COURSES ARE FREE FOR THOSE WHO COME and no charge will be made either by TLE Educational Network or by the teacher. This includes NO CHARGE for any objects, textures etc.

If you manage to keep a responsible schedule to your classes and show an average of 5-6 students per week over a period of at least the first six weeks, at that time TLE Educational Network may negotiate payment with you for further classes.

Possible Exceptions To The Above Rule where TLE may decide to pay you a negotiated fee after 2 classes (judging by interest and success):

1. You are a licensed Teacher or Professor or Doctoral or Post-Doc student with an accredited University Degree (please, no Internet bought degrees here because we do check them), you will be paid a negotiated fee from the beginning for your workshops and classes.

2. You are in a creative field such as writing, music or art and have REAL WORLD provable credits in these areas.

3. You are in a business area you are teaching about, and run a successful business in real life. (A good example—Real Estate Investments etc.)

4. You offer an incredibly unique program to TLE Educational Network where you can guarantee at least 15 students per class.

In all cases mentioned in the exceptions above, the decision of TLE Educational Network Board of Directors is final.

In all cases there will NEVER be a charge to students for classes or workshops.

Obviously you must be in Second Life to teach and have a fairly good understanding of how Second Life works.

Remember all fees are in Lindens! Though you will not make what you make in the real world, you will be able to spread your name and capabilities to a wide audience. This should not be disregarded. Many real world contracts have their roots from Second Life meetings and classes.
